How Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of New Beginnings is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, South Texas, and spreads throughout the World . New Beginnings Outreach is involved in a variety of ministries.
Mission Outreach
New Beginnings is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s Word and Kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting several missions projects with our money and with our prayers. We believe in the five fold ministry described in the book of Ephesians 4:11 and choose to support these ministries in the local church. There are several mission projects we support. Voz de Mexico, Monclova Children’s Home, the 180 Ranch, Christian United for Israel, as well as the New Beginnings food pantry, clothes closet, and supporting our local Pastors. Several of our partners travel to assist different missions in practical projects and evangelistic outreach on the border, Mexico, target areas around South Texas, and wherever need arises. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers.
In Matthew 9:38 Jesus said, “Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Worship
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many partners get involved in worship in their home church. Many of our meetings have a time of praise and worship. This worship is carried out in several different ways. We enjoy live praise and worship groups leading from several different churches. Guest speakers from time to time. We also worship together by way of Projected video planned out before our services. Psalms 100:1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
Servanthood
The team fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The New Beginnings team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to Kingdom life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of the church today. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook for additional church communication.
Marriage Counseling
Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Several couples at our church serve other families as marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse while fellowshipping and participating with New Beginnings Outreach.
Prayer Warriors
Prayer should never be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. New Beginnings is a body of believers dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each service, or team is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, our Prayer Warriors pray for their pastors, a list of churches, for any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.
